Total Time: ~2.5–3 hours
Focus: Eternal security through God’s promise.
🔐 Session 1 – Sealed by the Spirit (45–60 mins)
📖 Reading
Ephesians 1–2 – God’s blessings in Christ, salvation by grace, and the sealing of believers with the Holy Spirit.
📖 Key Passages
- Ephesians 1:13–14 – “Ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance…”
- Ephesians 2:8–9 – “For by grace are ye saved through faith… it is the gift of God.”
📖 Additional Passages
- 2 Corinthians 1:21–22 – “Hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”
- Ephesians 4:30 – “Grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
- Esther 8:8 – "…sealed with the king’s ring… may no man reverse."
🧠 Study & Reflection
God’s seal is a mark of ownership, authority, and security. When we believed the gospel, we were not merely forgiven—we were sealed by the Holy Spirit. This seal is like a royal signet: a promise from God that He will complete what He began. Paul calls the Spirit our earnest—a down payment on the full inheritance to come.
Sealing isn’t based on our works or effort but on the completed work of Christ. Grace begins it, grace secures it. The Spirit in us is the evidence that we belong to God.

🛡️ Session 2 – Eternal Security in Christ (45–60 mins)
📖 Reading
Romans 8 – From no condemnation to no separation—security through God’s sovereign plan.
📖 Key Passages
- Romans 8:29–30 – “Whom he did foreknow... he also glorified.”
- Romans 8:35–39 – “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?”
📖 Additional Passages
- John 10:27–30 – “No man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
- Hebrews 10:14 – “For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.”
🧠 Study & Reflection
Romans 8 provides a sweeping view of God’s eternal plan: those He calls, He also glorifies. There is no drop-off, no gaps. Once begun, His work is carried through. We are not kept by our strength but by His.
Jesus said no one can snatch His sheep from His hand—and then said the same of the Father’s hand. Double grip. Eternal bond.
Hebrews 10:14 confirms this security: Jesus’ one offering was enough to perfect forever those He saves. That means your salvation doesn’t rest on your performance but His perfect sacrifice.

📖 Key Passages
- 2 Corinthians 5:5 – “Now he that hath wrought us… hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.”
- 2 Corinthians 5:8 – “We are confident… to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
📖 Additional Passages
- Galatians 4:4–7 – “Because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts.”
- Romans 5:5 – “The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.”
- Titus 1:2 – “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.”
🧠 Study & Reflection
The Holy Spirit is more than a comforter—He’s God’s down payment. Just as a pledge secures a promise, the Spirit secures our future glory. Even as our outward man perishes, we are renewed day by day. This renewal is proof we are His.
We live between two worlds—seen and unseen. But with the Spirit inside, we walk with confidence. The Spirit reminds us we are already adopted, already loved, already heirs.
