Pearl of Great Price

✨ Session 1 - Known and Loved Before Birth (45-60 mins)

📖 Reading

Psalm 139 - God’s intimate knowledge and formation of us from the womb.

📖 Key Passages

📖 Additional Passages

🧠 Study & Reflection

God does not begin to care for us at birth—His knowledge and love go back before time. Psalm 139 reveals that we are not accidents or afterthoughts, but handcrafted by a God who knows us intimately. He saw us when we were unformed; His thoughts toward us are precious and uncountable.

Even Jeremiah’s calling reminds us that God’s purposes for us begin before we take a breath. We are known, we are formed, we are called.

💎 Session 2 - Grace & Election (45-60 mins)

📖 Reading

Ephesians 1-2 - Chosen before the foundation of the world, saved by grace through faith.

📖 Key Passages

📖 Additional Passages

🧠 Study & Reflection

Paul shows us that grace is older than time—it was God’s plan before creation. We are chosen, loved, and called not because of who we are, but because of who He is. We are His workmanship, His poem (poiēma), made to display His grace.

God’s love is not a reaction—it is the eternal initiative of One who knew and loved us before we existed. Grace secures our beginning, our present, and our future.

🌿 Session 3 - God’s Purpose and the Poetry of Your Life (30-45 mins)

📖 Reading

Romans 8:18-39 - God’s plan to conform us to Christ and glorify us.

📖 Key Passages

📖 Additional Passages

🧠 Study & Reflection

Romans 8 is the great crescendo of God’s promises to His people: called, justified, glorified, inseparable from His love. Isaiah’s prophecy shows the certainty of God’s Word accomplishing its purpose. And Jesus’ parable hints at God’s valuation of us—we may be the pearl He gave everything to redeem.

What God begins, He finishes. And what He values, He preserves forever. You are part of a divine poem being written by grace.

Consider the parable of the pearl — what if you are the pearl? What does it mean that God gave up everything to purchase you?
